All MHL Systems Road Maintenance Equipment are manufactured to exacting specifications from superior materials, ensuring rugged durability, long “wear-life,” and dependability. The two primary materials used in manufacturing our equipment are Kennametal Carbide Tungsten Inserts, Kennametal Carbide Castings, and varying grades of Manganese steel ranging from (400 to 500 BHN) with work hardening capabilities. The superiority of these components certifies longer “wear-life” in the demanding conditions in which they are typically used. Unique design features, many of them exclusive to MHL Systems road maintenance equipment, make for easy replacement of worn components.

MHL has been field testing Carbide Tungsten Inserts for 21 years in rugged areas in order to maximize wear-life and to prevent premature failure. These field tests have proven to be pivotal and essential in our design of MHL Interlocking [MAG/500] Carbide Tungsten Insert Snow Plow Blades.

Valuable Features of these blades are : (#1) Complete wear-life of all Carbide Tungsten Inserts; (#2) Maximum protection from the [MAG/500] material; (#3) When installed, the authentic Interlocking technique provides strength to the entire length of the blade; (#4) Each blade is strengthened by [welded] “ V-Grooves” that promote durability to the blade, and serve as “Wear-Indicators” that enable an operator or supervisor to see at a glance how much Carbide is left throughout the snow plow blade; (#5) Because of the blades Interlocking process, these blades are easy to install and easy to change; & (#6) It has been expressed to us many times that because of the ease of installation, the [safety] when changing blades has been immeasurably increased.
